Inquiry: Citing Sources

Whenever you use someone else's words or ideas, you must indicate that this information is borrowed by citing your source. This applies to written sources you've used, such as books, articles and web pages, as well as other formats, such as images, sounds and video clips. Not doing this is plagiarism, and it is...

I encourage you to explore other people's ideas as a way to build on your own understanding. Just make sure to give them credit.

BibMe (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. is an automatic citation maker you can use. Click on "I only want to create citations". For English, we use the MLA citation style.
