Well, our journey has almost come to an end. I want to start by thanking you all for taking this adventure with me. I would appreciate any feedback you have to offer.

Defining hybrid or blended education is a trickier task than one might think–opinions vary wildly on the matter. In a report on the merits and potential of blended education, the Sloan Consortium defined hybrid courses as those that “integrate online with traditional face-to-face class activities in a planned, pedagogically valuable manner.” Educators probably disagree on what qualifies as “pedagogically valuable,” but the essence is clear: Hybrid education uses online technology to not just supplement, but transform and improve the learning process.

I had an idea of how this course would unfold. Some of my imaginings worked out as planned. Others changed.

Did you find the website (that became a blog :( ) helpful? If so, how? If not, why? What could have been added or improved?

Did you like using GoogleDocs for sharing writing? Wordpress for journals?

How did you find the balance between on-line and face-to-face? Would you have liked to have had more of one or the other? Why?

How would you compare this experience to that in a regular classroom? What were the benefits? What did you lose?

Do you feel that you have learned what you needed to in this environment?

If given the opportunity, would you do this again, or recommend it to others?

How do you think things would have changed if there had been thirty students in the room? In that case, is this still a model you would recommend? Why or why not?

Anything else you would like to add?
